This enthusiastic, fun-loving group performs a series of concerts across the Outer Cape each year, and often appears with the full Chorale in their semi-annual concerts.
Led by our own Bob Seay, we will listen to the opening chorale of Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, accompanied by commentary from Leonard Bernstein. Together, we’ll explore its structure and consider why it is particularly well suited for performance in a large church setting. On October 19 at 3pm, the organ’s restorer, Bruce Stevens of 1001 Keys, will discuss the restoration process and give a demonstration.
