For over 40 years, Independence House, Inc. has been sharing knowledge and skills with survivors of domestic and sexual violence. But can these phenomenon be prevented? This Sunday, Chris Morin, Director of Prevention and Outreach, will talk about what she’s learned from her years of experience and about the organization’s mission to build an engaged community that actively prevents sexual and domestic violence. All are welcome.

Chris Morin has worked in the field of domestic and sexual violence for 20 years.  Her initial training in domestic and sexual violence was with the statewide coalition, the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. In Virginia, she served on the statewide hotline. She is presently the Director of Prevention, Education and Outreach and has been with Independence House for 13 years.
