Join us as Matthew Dunn, aka WOMR’s DJ Matty Dread, gives us an overview of WOMR/WFMR’s history and programming, while relating some stories from behind the scenes that may surprise even the most avid listeners. He will address the challenges facing the station in the wake of the recent defunding of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting as well as opportunities for growth in the face of significant challenges. There will be ample time for a question-and-answer session.

Matthew Dunn is the Operations Manager of community radio station WOMR. He started as a volunteer in 2002 and worked his way up the ranks. Matty continues to host The Soul Funky Train on Thursday afternoons, and he serves as volunteer coordinator, program director, head librarian and computer whisperer.
