Nauset Fellowship offers a spiritual home grounded in humanistic values, community service, and radical welcome.

We are a lay-led, inclusive congregation supporting life on the Lower Cape through:

  • Financial support for local nonprofits
  • Stewardship of the historic Chapel in the Pines

We welcome you to join as a Member of as a Friend, however you see fit!

Members of NFUU:

  • Support the Fellowship’s mission and by-laws
  • Are recognized as members of the Unitarian Universalist Association
  • Vote at monthly community business meetings
  • Make annual financial or in-kind contributions
  • Are eligible to serve as officers of Nauset Fellowship, Inc. (501c3)

Friends of NFUU:

Being a Friend is a wonderful way to step into the life of the Fellowship without taking on the full responsibilities of membership. Friends:

  • Attend events and programs
  • Make an annual pledge of support
  • Join a circle of mutual respect, care, and connection

Joining as a Member

To become a Member, sign the Membership Book in the presence of a congregational officer—an act that symbolizes your commitment to our spiritual and communal life.

As a Member, you are encouraged to:

  • Take part fully in the democratic life of the Fellowship by attending and voting at monthly business meetings
  • Shape the future of the Fellowship through leadership and service
  • Deepen your connection to the Unitarian Universalist Association and its wider movement

Joining as a Friend

To become a Friend, simply sign the Membership Book in the presence of a congregational officer—an act that symbolizes your intention to walk with us in community.

As a Friend, you are encouraged to:

  • Participate in our programs and gatherings
  • Join the conversations at monthly business meetings (though only members vote)
  • Contribute your presence, ideas, and energy to our shared life

Friendship allows you to belong in a way that fits your spiritual journey and personal commitments, while still making a real difference in sustaining our Fellowship.

Joining the Fellowship, whether as a friend or as a member, means becoming part of a living tradition—one that grows stronger with your voice, your energy, and your care.
