Deeply Rooted: Local Food & Community

Join us as Francie Randolph discusses the work of Sustainable CAPE, a Truro-based nonprofit that celebrates local food while educating and empowering individuals to create a more delicious, healthy and sustainable world. From its beginnings in a volunteer-run agricultural fair to its present, Sustainable CAPE seeks to demonstrate the direct link between local food, sustainable health and wellness, and the importance of preserving the fragile land and water resources that directly enable our local harvest. Among its many programs and events are Children’s Gardens, Farmer’s Markets, Food Access and Food is Medicine.
