Joan Baez(1941-)

Mexican-American folk singer (also rock, pop, country and gospel) and activist for peace, human rights, and the environment. In her prime, she had a three-octave vocal range and a distinctively rapid vibrato.

"The easiest kind of relationship for me is with ten thousand people. The hardest is with one."

Music: "We Shall Overcome." Lyrics in part by Rev. Charles Tindley, ca. 1901, set to a tune similar to the Sicilian Mariner's Hymn, maybe by Antron Twigg.
